Rush Poker: Full Tilt online poker reinvented. I. by Spainfull
At first article this week was to continue the series on strategy short stack and analyze the announcement of the expected increase in buy in least by FTP (finally 35 big blinds), but this measure apparently would be the bride at the wedding, has been in a sad matron of honor. And is that the leading role it has led the introduction of a new type of panel that FTP has called Rush Poker ( rush is a term which in English means hurry, in a translation colloquial free might say that tables are “all host poker”).
As the name implies, are tables in which the action is continuous because if you do not like the hand you are dealt, you can throw it and give you a new hand at the moment (even before your turn ). How is this possible? Pretty easy, now the tables are no longer fixed but are formed dynamically using a set of rules. To do this, each table of this type is actually a list called Lobby , which can target a large number of players. In each Lobby a player can open up to 8 tables, each time transposing to the player who is added back into the game put the big blind , while the remaining positions of the other Players are random. Otherwise, put the big blind the player who takes plays more hands without doing so.
The number of hands that can be done at each table is huge, easily 4 or 5 times more than in a normal table. The action happens very quickly: you appear in a table paying the blinds, play the hand ( you can not leave in advance if you are the big blind ) and, once you strip, you’re at another table with new players in a different position and randomly with a new hand if you do not like, you can throw immediately and move to a new table … ad infinitum. What may seem in principle a new set chorras designed to attract some casual gamers, is really a great idea and a concept that may change the future of online poker .
Why is a revolution and an extremely bright idea? For the simple fact that at one go get a series of improvements that would otherwise be unthinkable. For starters, increasing the number of hands, the total commission earned is higher. But the main thing and so it might be successful is to as most people who’ve tried it, it’s fun. Just what you want many fishes , entertainment, excitement, speed, anonymity. Yes, anonymity, because thanks to the tables are dynamic, not allowing observers, so as PTR pages may not collect data and anyone know how much certain player wins or loses.
The play is round because it attracts many recreational players will now play more hands than they did previously (many usually play one or two tables at most), although they could leave immediately, we expect that improve the selection of hands, with what money they can last longer and generate more commissions for the room. Not only that, but as and can not do selection table, the usual can no longer sit at the player right from wrong and get all their money so easily, they must wait for chance to place them with them . Also disappear, waiting lists and not to worry because a table is broken, even longer to generate more commission. With this game system, no longer seems a crazy idea to play on mobile devices , extending the potential players and thus the commission obtained again.
It is also bad news for software development companies that make playing many tables in online poker rooms. Primarily for those who sell programs to table selection, but also for applications that create tables placed in certain positions, for which stock and sell hand histories, for which they offer the results of players, etc.. Another negative aspect is that because they can not do datamining will be harder to control any irregularity on the part of the chambers and discover possible bots .
However, the biggest but this is none other than the idea is great, yes, but for the room. Everything is on track to raise more money faster. This innovation not like for various reasons, the main factor that increases the chance and lessen the importance of skill. In addition, harms the player as an analyst and scholar explain further at the next installment.
PS: this news by its importance has been widely discussed and analyzed, I leave you some links if you want further:
